Before & After Retouch

This is a retouch portrait i did on Photoshop CS3. I shot in the studio because i knew i could get the right about of light with a white background. She was going to be wearing dark clothes and has dark hair so i wanted to make sure she didn't blend into the background. I was happy with the way my subject was lit, however her skin tones were a little orange so i went to hue and saturation and took down the yellows, and also saturated the reds a little to take down some of the color in her face. I used the healing spot tool to take out some blemishes and a nose ring she had to make her look more professional. When i lightened my image with levels some dust spots showed up on her blouse so i also took those out with the healing tool.

Over all i feel the shoot went well, however if i were to re-shoot her i would maybe pull some of the light off of her to give a more dramatic effect. But for a full head shot i think she has the right amount on her. And she enjoyed it as well.
